Im paying directly to the collection agency, and they told me that I cant get help from no one, is that true?????

Hi gemi2880

Your creditors might have sent the account to one of the collections department. You can still make payment arrangements with the original creditor without dealing with the CA. They are the hard ones to deal with.

Explain the situation to your creditor and figure out your options. I am sure things will take a better turn.

Jedi...

I am starting to get "investigator calls" and CA calls. My settlement company tells me to tell them, "You can NOT call me at work and simply hang up and report to UCAN." However, they always seem to say something about that time that ticks me off. Like they will get in..."you are not even trying to take care of this acct Mrs. LJ." Then once I say something the cat fight is on.

SO, am I not "cooperating" with them, if I hang up on them or simply don't call them back? I send all my letters received and every phone call to my settlement company.

You're working with a settlement company so they can't say that you're not taking care of it because you are.

Don't let them manipulate you with trick words like "cooperating" and "resolving". Those are manipulation tactics to try and get you to do everything their way no matter how much that cuts you off.

Do as your settlement company tells you. Tell them off when they call you and start that sh!t.

Angry words never help a situation. Just tell them I am sorry you feel that way then hang up.

They can call you at work. You need to tell them not to. If they do it again simply take their name and number down, use the pretence of you are going to return their call, and then either ask to speak to manager of operations or explain to them that the next call you are making is to an attorney then hang up.

CA's must follow the stricter of the law. Either the state or Federal. You should find out which one benifits you the most.

Just because you are working with a settlement agency doesn't mean you aren't going to recieve more calls until they account is paid, settle in full or the agency has the BPA (best possible arrangement) secured.

Be prepared for not all companies are willing to work with CCCS but most usualy are. Until you have an accepted proposal you are and will be subject to recieve more calls.
