hi all
I'm new to this form.
1.what is AG
2.I live Iowa.
3. I have out 6 int. loans
and 5 store loans
4. I need help in what to do to get out of this. It is killing my pay check every other week. I am in Iowa. what do u guys subjust i do?

mrr, I'm posting your state law so we can all see it. When you list out your pdl's, please designate which ones are store front and which ones are internet. Store fronts are handled differently than internet. For each one, put the amount borrowed (principle only) and the amount paid back (total - don't break it down - just the total paid to date). On your storefronts, just put how much the check is for and exactly how you pay it back. Like do you go in and pay the full amount and re-write a new check? Or do you just pay a "finance fee" and they extend the check. As soon as we get more information from you, we can help you out! :D

I'm looking at this quickly, but just want to say that you're dealing with some illegal internet pdl's. And you've overpaid them. Your storefronts are going to be a different story, as they are licensed/legal. You've got a lot out there for $500 each. Let me look at some of your internets again. Hang on.... I don't understand the name of the first internet pdl. Is that the full name???

mrr, did you read the information regarding closing your account? You need to be sure it does not get forced back open. When are your next debits scheduled to come out of the account? Also, have you handled your storefronts at all yet? I'm sorry I'm asking so many questions; however, I think we're moving really fast here. Don't send the internet pdl's any letter until your bank account is taken care of. Get the bank straight first. Very important. Take care of your store fronts. Very important. Then you can focus on the illegal internet lenders. Can you please give me an update as to where you stand right now? :D

mrrl, if you have paid this much money (my goodness!), you can certainly demand a refund of any overpayment. Like roxy stated, we can't promise anything, but some pdl's will refund overpayments. Not all. But some. Especially if you file complaints with the agencies. That will work in your favor anyway. But you have really overpaid a lot. Feel free to demand a refund. Like I said, can't promise anything, but I'll be damned if I wouldn't demand one. They took you for a lot of money. But, don't feel alone. They've taken a lot of members for thousands of dollars. So, please, do NOT be afraid to demand that refund. If you use the letter that lmk pm'd you that I gave her, just reword it to state your amount borrowed and your amount paid and demand a refund of the overpayment amount. If you have any questions, just post! :D

mrrl, give a week or so for the nastiness to start. If you've emailed, it might be sooner. However, it was pretty quiet for me for a couple weeks. Then it was like World War III broke out. Once they start noticing they're not getting their debits any longer is when they'll really start to hit. If you get any refunds, it depends on the pdl. Some are really easy (as they know they are illegal) to receive a refund and work fairly quickly. I think I got mine right off the bat within a few weeks. But they were pdls that were not as horrible as others. Others might give you a PIF but never send you a refund. And, still others, will argue your head off that you still owe more money even though you have overpaid. You'll notice a difference between them all. Stand your ground. If you need us, we will be here for you. :D

Yes, these letters have been received by others. mrrl, if you get a pif - go with it. You can continue to push for a refund; however, they stated "no refund", so I know they will fight you tooth and nail. I personally would take the pif and run. But you do whatever you want to. If you want to push it, by all means, go ahead. However, like I said, I can see them giving you the worst way to go. Congratulations on your pif! :D

mrrl, do you still need letters to send out? I can send you a letter. Also, I got your message on my home page. I can help you with that also. Do you know how to use the "pm"?? Under my post is a button that says "pm". Click on that. It'll send a message directly to me. I can reply to that, make sure you get it, then I can send you some stuff. Okay? Try it and see if you can get a message to me. :D

mrrl, how is your bank charging you NSF fees if there is a hold on it? Is it a total debit block? If so, nothing should be able to go through (no debits) and also there shouldn't be any NSF fees. I'm confused about the bank. Is that what they're doing? Not allowing ameriloan to get money, but then charging you NSF? Ameriloan is not getting any money, are they?

mrrl, Welcome! You are in the right place.
Just a thought - If one of these companies DOES offer you a refund DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR NEW BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER!!! They are very sneaky and might use that ploy as a way to get more of your money. Make them send you a check OR (LOL) a Moneygram!
Best of Luck to you, and everyone is here to help.

So apparently ameriloan is now resorting to sending through their famous "electronic checks" instead of attempting ACH debits. Famous for this. Gotta love MTE. So they're not getting their money, correct? But your bank is still charging you NSF fees? Now, volley, is this the correct procedure for an account that has a hard hold on ACH and checks? They can still charge NSF fees?
