Mariah Vance called my office and told the administrative assistant that I had to call her back by 5 PM today or my attorney one. I attempted to call back and she never answered. Her number is 866-201-4603. I am sure she is trying to threaten me because a gentleman from the same place called one day on my cell phone and I asked that they send me some paper work about the bill they say that I owe. He refused to send it and never called me back. These people try so hard to rip you off. IF they can send me validation that I owe this bill I would be more than happy to resolve the matter but until then.......

Hi luv,

Your approach was perfect, I must say. Always ask for debt validation. Asking for validation does not mean that you are denying your responsibility. You are just confirming the debt and checking if all the information is correct.

Collectors should provide you with validation. It is considered to be the first step of debt collection. If some collection agency denies validating the debt or refuses to send written documents, it is violation of fdcpa.

You should ask them for their mailing address to send the DV letter. See how they respond. Also check what others are saying about IWCB-

Also try to settle the account with the original creditor. IWCB is tough to deal with.
I received a phone call phone a company called Interstate Wire Bureau - wanting my attorney's information so they could proceed with court date regarding a non-payment of a payday loan with Platnium B Services. After contacting Platnium B Services I am told the company is a scam. I did a google search and found the RipOff report. These people are threatening to come to my house and arrest me (which I didn't know was possible without a warrant, etc.) How can I handle this? They won't send me any documentation (could it be that it would then be a Federal Offense in using the USPS?) or any proof that I owe the debt (especially since Plat B says it's a cleared account).
I received several calls at work from the same company, with the same lines they gave you. The debt they are claiming I owe are already paid. I contacted the people I had the debt with and they told me that they are a fradulent company not to pay any attention to them. They actually told me next time they call you tell the to kiss your ---!

Guest,

You are lucky that your creditors helped you on this matter. Good to see that your money is saved :D This is the reason people do not like collection agencies. They do not come clear with their identity and also reluctant to give any written document. Then how can customers understand if they are working with a legit agency or not?

Do let us know if you find any more information on them.
