Is there a collection fee max in KS

I defaulted on a store front loan a while back. They sent it to a collection agency. Since it has been over a year now they are charging around 30% interest. I was just wondering if that was legal. I've been making payments, but now it is like a credit card and everything goes toward interest.

What was the original amount of the check? And they turned it over to collection agency when? Just now? Has it been a year since they've tried to collect? Is the 30% you are talking about the "fee" the collection agency is claiming? Or are you saying they are charging you 30% on each payment you make?
