phone calls from 877-528-2616 keeps calling my home

I would like to know if this company is legit? I have recieved several phone calls by different numbers. I spoke to a female who claimed to be from this company. This female laughed at me when she asked me for my debit card information. I am very careful about giving out information over the phone. I am afraid of being scammed.The woman I spoke to seemed very rude to me. Please advise me if this is legit?? The females name was Cecila Sanchez.The number that keeps calling my home is 877-528-2616.

Welcome to the forums! What is the name of the company you are trying to reach? After doing a search, it appears that the number calling you belongs to a credit company. Did Cecila state what company she was calling from? It's good to see that you are careful with who you disclose you personal information to.

Welcome to the forums.

I think the lady did not sound professional while she was talking to you over the phone. You have surely done the right thing by not giving out your personal info. It should not be given to anyone about whom you never heard earlier.

Insist the lady to give you the company's mailing address so that you can do your correspondences in writing. Also, request for a debt validation if she is collecting for one of your account in the past.

In some locations, you can have the phone company block that number. If they are a legit company, you can ask to speak to the woman's supervisor if you feel she is being disrespectful. Check the company very carefullly before you give them any info. If they are legit, call them back to give any sensitive information.
