Concert Venue Update

Ok, for those who may not know, I have a second job at my local concert venue, and our season opened for the summer last week. We started with Duran Duran on Friday with Simon Lebon in all of his glory and finished the weekend with Rush on Sunday.
Duran Duran had this Coldplay wannabe group called Your Vegas opening for them and it was pretty lame. And the crowd was full of 40-somethings dressed like 20-somethings (hang it up, honey!!) AND, one woman actually got on the stage and went for Simon!! We all got in trouble for that one... :twisted: and Simon just laughed it off and said "ooh, she grabbed my bum!!"
Rush had no opener and played for about three hours. They were good--big crowd, too.
We've got Chaka Khan and the Whispers on Memorial Day and Iron Maiden that Wednesday ...head bangers!!

Heck, I'm ashamed to say I would have liked to have seen Duran Duran. That sure brings back high school memories.
The crowd of 40-somethings dressed as 20-somethings sounds a bit on the scary side, though. Hope they weren't dressed like 20-somethings from the 80's!!
Would have been horrific!
