Is anyone on here ever represented themselves in family court in regards to child support owed from non-custodial parent  ? Woud like to file complaint against Judge and definetely my sister's attorney for neglecting to file an appeal within 30 day time period. Found out decision was rendered on August 21, 2008 in favor of non-custodial parent claiming they make only $1400.00 per month in income but still pays $700.00 for two younger children :x and now is only ordered to pay $55.00 per month for my nephew  is what the least amount indivduals have to pay  .

Does anyone know about child support cases when there are other children involved with a different mother. My nephew is the oldest and he has two younger brother's. Father was paying child support on him up from 1994 when he was born up until 2004 and then didn't start again until 2007.

Need advice please thank you

Nebraska, talked to the bar assn yesterday and they said that my sister needs to file a grievance and a motion :?: Don't we need to file a motion asking the court that we want her attorney to withdraw from this case. I believe if I read correctly she has up to 90 days to appeal the decision if just cause is found. Is that right?

I have had a hard time getting ahold of her attorney, wouldn't respond to emails, when yesterday I sent an email about the final bill...his secretary immediately replied saying that she will send it by email today (wednesday)

This sounds familiar, Friday I got a notice from the DCSS in CA and my ex- non-custodial parent is requesting a modification, here's the kicker, he's not working and I am a state employee, I have no hope and am calling an attorney tomorrow for advice. If I end up paying him child support, I will be more hand to mouth than we are now, YIKES! Good luck to your sister, hope her attorney is responsive, if not perhaps you should sit in his lobby until he can see you :)

Ladybug- know how you feel. My daughter-in-law has been to court over and over with her ex. He is thousands behind, and the judge keeps dleaying it to another week. He calims he filed for disability and is just waiting for the check. Now the judge hasn't check on it, just taking his word. So every monthe they continue to go back and doing the same thing.

She has contacted the state child enforcement people and they are looking into it.

My daughter-in-law went through DHS and they got her a child advocate and all. I don't know if this would work for your sister, but she may want to check on it.

I cringe everytime the kids have to go over there.

Let us know what happens, hang in there. Your sister will be in my prayers..karen
