To Further our learning on debt and credit

It would be great to hear from others. This forum has been a great help to me. Things would be so much worse without the help and guidance of everyone here.

Exactly!!! I'm in the same boat as you, I really don't have anyone to talk to. I stumbled upon this group one day and started feeling right at home. I feel that I can talk about anything here and I have never once felt judged. The truth is, we know we've messed up in some way to get to where we are now. Its important to have a place to come to, when you feel the world is kicking you while you're down. :D Shirley

I come in here to vent when the CA's start calling and find out what steps to take. I also try to help others, thats what we are here for. I am trying to convince my mom to join the forum, but she is embarrassed to air her problems. I told her that this forum is here for people in our situation and they listen and help to the best of their knowledge. I also told her that no one will find out it is her that is complaining about a company. You can choose a chat name all her own. People helping people out is what this is all about. Trust me, I will keep bugging her to join because I think it will do her a world of good. She needs advice and my dads advice isn't doing them any good.

oh most definitely, your mom would benefit from joining. Like you said, she would have a place to come to, where she could talk, out in the open, and no one would find out who she 'really' was, if she didn't want them to. no judging no pressures, just people talking about REAL LIFE and REAL LIFE issues! And Debts are about as REAL LIFE as you can get. You might not always get the answers that you're looking for, but it won't be because no one tried to get them for you--sometimes theres just not any easy answers. BUT you will always have people here that care and they really do listen. And sometimes thats all you need, is just someone to listen. keep encouraging your mom, I think she would like it here. shirley :)

I agree with Shirley once again. I love that I can come here. Maybe you can sit down with her and show the forum to her. Let her see for herself..she may change her mind then..

My situation at a certain stage was nothing different from all of you. I was being misled by some of my near ones. I felt embarrassed in discussing my issues any further with them. But I was really looking for some advice. I needed it hard. Then I googled and landed up in this website. I was glued seeing the quality of this forum. In the beginning, I was using a different username to interact with the members. All of your posts have enriched my knowledge so strongly that I am now in a position to think two steps ahead of time. If I see someone going through the same turmoil I have been, I just like to jump into for help. I hate to suffer and I don't expect the same for others also. I appreciate all your support, friends. Lots of appreciation for this website too.

You are such a sweetheart in the things you said about wanting to help other people and I just wanted you to know that you have helped me on more than one occassion. I am glad that we all have each other and this forum to come to when we need help and need to talk. shirley
