Litton loan took over our mortgage and since then it has been a nightmare.About 2 weeks ago I recvd a letter stating they did not recvd our mortgage payment but
my husband bank statement clearly states the date
the transaction was done and the bank gave us a tracking#. I was so furious becuase I faxed this information including 10 other pages of documents as proof, and they have the nerve to tell me that the bank return our money. But the bank is saying something different. And of course our bank statment is not reflecting the $1300 as being return. I've call daily, getting the run around. I've report this to FTC and in process filing papers
with Atty General. Is there anything else I can do
to expedite this situation? I am really concern becuase now we got default over our head and over $1300 missing that no one seems to know where our money is at. Our bank IBC keep telling us give the Morgage Company the reference and tracking numbers. I feel like the bank could do more too.

Hi, welcome to the forums!

Sorry to hear of your recent troubles. The bank statements, along with the tracking number, should be all you need to provide proof that the payment was made. When you say they told the bank returned your money, was it their bank that returned it to yours? In this case, ask them if their bank can provide a tracking number. The money isn't missing, it's just bad bookkeeping.

Mike

Hi Mikey,
No we recvd the letter from Litton stating
the bank had dishonor our transaction on May 3, 06. The weird thing is Litton states the transaction was on 4/24 accepted, but then return 5/3/06. How can a electronic payment be return once it was paid.No our bank said they paid it and the statements reflects
the transaction on 4/25.

At this point, my suggestion would be to make a complain, as you've already one, or do a conference call with the two of them.

If you're being told 2 different stores, and are getting harassed to make another payment, then something should be done about it. You've stated that you already made a complaint the attorney general, so perhaps will get them to go through their records again.

I need some feedback, I've a presistent person, previously I called made over 10 calls in 10 days to this mortgage. My biggest fear is, what if my mortgage stop taking my payments, I was told they can do this. As i mentioned i am trying to resolve the missing money issue. I did some research and I've heard to horror stories about my mortgage co. So, my next move is writting the CEO if we don't get this resolve by the end of the week. Do you think I am too aggressive?

You mentioned that Litton took over your mortgage, who had it before? If they're able to take it over, are you allowed to find another lendor for your home.

Also, be sure to keep track of all your phone calls, and who you speak with. Get operator ID #s if possible.

In the meantime, I'm going to see what I can come up with, so you can resolve this situation.

Mike

When they took over my loan, they never sent me the coupon book or information on them till I was already a month behind, then When I think I am caught up they inform me that we are now three months behind and now are turning it over to an attorney forclosure. I have talked to another lender about this and was told it sounds like they are predator lending. But how do we stop them before we lose our house. Thanks

Litton's a horrible home loan servicing company. I have clients calling all the time wanting to get out from Litton. The way they report mortgage lates too is absurd!

What can be done other filing Complaints with 1/2 the goverment agency, both locally and nationally, which I have already done. What can be done to keep them from foreclosing. Especially, if they refusing any of payment arangements, etc. I am in in a rock and a hard place. Could I sell the home to my husband? He is not on the mortage he his however listed on the deed? Also, we are in State of Ohio. I was told (however don't believe) that foreclosure attorneys can charge any fees that they wish?

I have been doing a lot of searching on the internet and they have several class actions suits pending and have reports.. One reporter reported that they are no longer part of the BBB. SO what can we do as consumers? Who are in oursides, especially if we are consider high-risk.

This mortgage company should be put out of business. They took payments from us and credited them to someone elses account. Took months to get it fixed. We were finally able to refinance with another company and got away from them. Months went by and we went to buy a new car and was turned down because Litten had reported that we still owed $1,600 dollars on a mortgage that we no longer had with them. This company along with EMC mortgage are the biggest ripoffs there is. Anyone having a mortgage with either needs to refinance and get away from them as soon as possible.
