I am attempting to settle with bank of america. they are telling me they will not negotiate a lump sum payment if my account is current-which it is-for now. they also told me they will not negotiate if the card has been used in the last year-which it has.
I was late with one payment, they jacked up my interest rate to 26.99%-I'm paying the minimum every month but my balance increases every month. The people I have spoken with are unwilling to discuss settlement at all.
HELP!!
I could really use some advice.

As you're unable to negotiate with them on your own, it will be better if you could take help of a debt relief company who can assist you in settling your debts. This community has a list of debt relief companies which you can find in the given page: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/companies/usa-listing/ . You can contact any of the companies for help. However, before signing on the dotted lines, do your research and check out whether or not they were able to satisfy their customers.

Anna...read the post. BOFA will not negoatiate WHILE HE IS CURRENT!

He doesnt need a debt relief company...or a debt settlement company...you do know the difference dont you?? HE want to do the settlement himself...BOFA wont do it with him OR a debt settlement company WHILE HE IS CURRENT.
