Plain Grean Loans

I have had two loans with Plain Green. The first loan of $600 was taken out in September, 2011. I repaid $1278.

My current loan with Plain Green is for $500. I know I am responsible for repaying the $500 principal. I'd like to know if the interest I paid with the first loan can be used to cover my current balance.

I sent them an email requesting that they do this, as well as a cease and desist order, and an ACH and wage assignment revocation.

They responded very reasonably to my requests, and proposed a plan for repaying the debt with five monthly payments of $100 each.

I wanted to check here first to see if past-paid interest can be used to pay off my current balance.

Thank you!

Plain Green is an illegal tribal lender. I believe the previous account you had with them was paid in full and closed? You should have asked for a refund the moment you found out that they were illegal. I don't think Plain Green would agree to finance and cover your current loan using interest paid on a loan which has already been paid back and account closed. Your best bet is to write to them and ask for a refund of the previously paid interest. If they actually send you a check for the excess amount, you can use it to cover your current loan. Chances of you squeezing a refund out of them now is slim though.

first off yes you paid more than double on the first loan, and should after you close your current account(if you haven'y already)send them a letter using the template in ohiogal's signature to let them know you want the overpaid interest from the previous loan to cover the current loan.then you are still owed almost 200.00 after that.you don't pay another dime on this.in fact go to ohiogal's sticky and follow it every step.bottomline you got taken on the first loan, and now can't pay the second, but since this is an illegal you do apply the previous loan to this one meaning you not only owe nothing.you are owed almost 200.00 after that.that is and should be your position.

Thank you all for the great advice and information. I certainly will not pay Plain Green Loans any more money.

I have a few other loans with payments due to be debited from my old account at the end of this month. The principal on all of these loans has been more than paid off. (OneClickCash, PaydayloanYes, United Cash Loans and 3B Loans.)

I have closed that old checking account, and have opened a new one. No more payday loans for me - ever! I have learned, as many of us here have, a very expensive lesson. The good news is that I feel empowered in dealing with these companies now, and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I will write and request my refund from Plain Green and the others, and will post any responses that I get from them.

I so appreciate the support here!
