Greetings to all,

I looked at my posting numbers and realized that 400 posts ago I was $84k in credit card debt.

Wow!
It's been just over a year.

Reflecting on the journey, it wasn't really that bad.
It wasn't really that bad because of all of the great help, advice and encouragment from my fellow posters.


I want to thank everyone in this great website.

Isn't it a great feeling, King? I finished Chase and BofA last month. Am paying Discover $166 a month for 12 months and then they're gone. Crap One, I threw in the towel, brought the account up to date and am paying monthly. Only owe them $900.

They almost gave me a nervous breakdown, what with all the calls from Linda and then the non-English accents.

All other bills are up-to-date and I have extra money to spend on my grandkids - thanks to the help on this site.

Thanks for sticking around and helping others in this mess.

Linda has stopped calling me, Cap 1 now has me with the hardship dept ever since I mentioned medical problems, and now they only call once a week, and they are between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. I must call them to see what can be done about settlement, I remain optimistic.

I'm $86.4k in CC debt myself and this is very inspirational for me. I've posted up a few questions in a new thread in the settlement sub-forum and hope a mod will review and allow it to be visible soon.
I too get called by Linda 4x a day. She sounds rather mean!:p
Any tips for dealing with Discover?
