New(ish) credit report laws?

Are there laws that you can now go directly to the creditor if stuff is listed on your credit reports? I've been out of the game for a little bit and would like to thoroughly read up on this new set of laws if any of you could point me in the right direction?
I am still exclusively using Texas law over fed laws, but who knows? Maybe I can incorporate those laws as well....I have read somewhere that according to Texas rules of civil procedure, Texas residents do have the right to try federal rules in small claims court without fear of it getting moved to federal court....I really need to go reread the rules of civil procedure and see if this in fact does apply...because wow....if you can add the fed laws on credit reports and debt collecting with texas state laws...wow....debt purchaser companies everywhere are gonna be shaking in thier boots. :D

VERY NICE. 623 of the FCRA..was this provision always there and we are just now realizing it's potential? This makes NO MENTION of the 30 days, so even states with no extra consumer debt laws can attack not only debt collectors, but the original creditors as well!
