Welcome to the Community miranda :D I know what you mean about the job situation--it's tough everywhere.
There are different types of jobs out there, depending on what type of work you are looking for ie: factory, office retail, restaurants, all of whom hire with a high school education or less.
A friend of mine is 36 years old, when she started looking for a job about 7 years ago, she had a ninth grade education. She got a job doing telemarketing, then a collection agent. She worked her way up in the company because no one tends to stay in these jobs, and is now a supervisor for over 150 people.
My son started a job that didn't pay anything, so he got another job, and between the two he is doing ok.
Try looking at store windows, employment services, and work force-they should be able to help you! Let us know what happens, and good luck..KAren
