Mod Forum not so private

I have a question. This Forum is only available for the Mods to see right, not even the Debt Sams?

I have seen several instances that were posted here, and later, the person that was in question, or some part of what we talked about here has come up in a post :shock:

Either more people can see this, or someone is telling others that aren't Mods what is being talked about here. I thought this was private?

I think you're correct on that, FYI. I've seen items discussed in the Mods only forum being mentioned by non-Mods on the boards lately.

It's sad and disappointing.

One of the things I've always prided myself on is the ability to keep the going ons between upper management a secret unless I'm told it can be disclosed. There are always going to be people who can do this and people who can't.

I know I've always trusted the confidentiality of this MOD forum . . . . It's disappointing to know that info is being leaked.

I don't watch what I say in here, but I guess I will have to start doing so . . . . :(

It really is too damn bad. We should be able to talk freely in here..It's funny, because I was thinking the other day the only person I talk to anymore who isn't a mod is goldhelmet..And we talk football! I just hope this stops.

Cannr, you're correct in your assumption. This is not an isolated incident - there have been things mentioned in the forums and in pm's that have been discussed here in this forum - and non-Mods are getting the info from someone who is able to read this particular forum.

It's childish and ridiculous. And very disappointing, like many things happening here lately.

OMG. All I can do is sit here and shake my head. I mean, there should be one place that we don't have to hold back or be paranoid; however, there obviously isn't. And to think that one of the mod's (?) might be "leaking" information? That just puts a knife right in my back. How incredibly sad.

What exactly is being linked?

It is disappointing to me as well. Is the stuff being talked about prior to the situation at the beginning being fixed (where admin had to make changes becuase people could read our posts) or after? This situation is so disheartening.

I have a question - there is another thread on the Mods Only forum, and it was started by a guest!! How did that happen? I thought only Mods could post here. That gives more light to the idea that the Mods forum is not private at all.

I think the feedback section at the bottom of each fourm is linked to this page. When someone puts in a suggestion or feedback, it goes here so we can see it.

Me too...that is why I had to figure it out..had I not read the pub and that post just before comming to this fourm, I would never have thought about it.

Roxy, the latest incident happended after they fixed the proble, that's what is so disturbing. So someone had to have told someone.

Right now, I am not saying until I know something for sure. It had to do with a comment that was made on this forum for mods only.

A person who was mentioned, talked on a post, at a later date, some things that was talked about here.

So some of us were wondering how they came up with the info..

Karen, I hope you can figure it out, because I am floored. This really disgusts me. I hope that the problem is that this forum isn't private, and not that someone is leaking. That would just be too much.
