I think everymember here should post a recipie that doesn't cost a lot to make and then we should turn it into a cookbook and all proceeds will go to the DCC community to help keep the site even more productive? Do we know anyone in publishing?

Well the idea came to me when I realized that we now have 1 income and 4 kids to feed, 3 of which are boys. There are 6 of us total and I don't eat breakfast or lunch. I am easily going to spend 1at mint 800 a month in groceries with the current prices, milk is over 4 dollars a gallon!!

What families need are tasty meals that they can afford and I think this site is the perfect way to achieve somehting like that. Then we can put in all of the recipies send it to a publisher and sell them for the community. Of course anyone who put in a should get a free book.

Right now I am making hamburger helper without the meat and mashed potatoes with powder milk. Friday I can do better as it's a pay day!

I think it is a fantastic idea and so simple in am kicking myself for not suggesting it. I have out of necessity had to learn how to squeeze two meals out of a package of ground turkey or make peanut butter into an Asian noodle dish. Like Bossy I also work from my head as I come from the era of powdered spaghetti sauce mix! Yuck!

I am a complete disaster in the kitchen--BUT I have a daughter who is an experienced line chef (she trained with a chef who has been on Iron Chef America, btw) AND a service manager with a national restaurant chain. I can ask her for help with this and since good nutrition at low cost is a passion with her, I'm sure she'd be happy to help.
