I see we have a new member who has been very active early this morning. This person is obviously very knowledgeable and I believe would be a good debt samaritan. The only thing that I did not agree with was the advice given to someone to close a credit card with a high APR before paying it off. That can knock your FICO down real fast. I was a little surprised by that response taking into consideration all the other ones that were right on in my opinion anyway. What do y'all think?

i still think they caused FREAKYFRIDAY to leave.they buuted heads with me on a payday loan thread.i'm still watching them.

I have a feeling that this person works for a debt settlement company and is soliciting by PM. He/she is always suggesting settlement. I already deleted a phone number and address that was asked for by a new member. I also asked a new member in my last post to tell me if she is solicited by PM by "anyone"

I had the same feeling a couple weeks ago. I think I know who it is but am not 100% sure but I think this is Javan who has a DS company here in Dallas. He registered a few months back and was soliciting in the forums. I shut him down hard but he was peeking at my home page right around the time that jstcredit joined.

Hi,

Just look at the solicitation below:

Here is a number a for a Loan Modification company that can help you I already got my loan Modify and it went great 1877 332-8944 ext 2161 Alex Castillo tell him that Mr. Collins send you good luck oh and they do not charge u anything until they can do something for you...

I came to know about this solicitation from Smo65d11. This message was pasted in her homepage by a new member ???alejandrocas8???

It is a clear case of solicitation. I'm not sure how many of our members are resorting to solicitation through private messages. I have asked Smo to delete this quick message.

Any thoughts or suggestion in tackling these members?

I am also starting a new thread regarding solicitation and possible ways of stopping them.
