I was wondering if someone can tell me why unanswered threads are not showing up in post since last visit? I released one out of the spam filters this morning, that posted this morning.. went to post since last visit and it was not there - but it was in unanswered...

Also, why did we get rid of the oldest / newest - it was useful to get around - instead of having to scroll and go to last to see what the latest response was all you had to do was hit the newest filter and it sorted for us.. We should add that back - it defaults to oldest and you have to select newest to get it to go that way so no confusion should have ever happened...

Also, I just added this and instead of it going to post since last visit - only went to unanswered threads - so these may get over looked.. Can this be fixed?

The issue that you are talking about may be due to cache problem.

We had to get rid of the feature for moderators because few mods' found it 'confusing'

helpinaz--if they would fix the problem I have been talking about for months now, there would be no need for that. But every time I bring it up, it gets ignored, and so we still are without it. And it's a function that the old forum had, so it isnt like it was deleted for any good reason or anything.

When you click on any forum section, such as the moderator section, you will see a list of threads, from most recently posted in on down. Look over toward the right side, where the last post in each thread is detailed. There is a ">>" after that info. That used to be a button, and when you clicked on it, it would take you to the last post made in that thread.

Easy.

no searching needed.

No scrolling through old posts needed.

it didnt get any simpler.

I asked for it back several times now. It was a very simple, very useful way to go right to the most recent post. But I have yet to receive even one response from the powers that be about it. That little button would fix what youre looking to do. But instead of fixing that, we get all sorts of other stuff that isnt even good for the forum.

Oh, and the space between paragraphs problem is still here. I left spaces between the paragraphs in that post, and as you can see, they are not there now.

HelpinAZ, we implemented the newest / oldest feature keeping in mind exactly the observation that you made regarding the feature. Glad you liked it :)

Sky, what I can see is that you have not used the break code at the end of the paragraphs - the way I asked you in your other thread. Please use the break code at the end of para and check if its working or not. Also you can check my previous reply in this thread itself if its working.

@ Jason - can we have it back or is it gone forever? You can easily toggle one way or the other -- if you don't like reading your book backwards.. LOL

Dumb question but how do you use the paragraph break - I do not see that option - Do we actually need to write code?

Jason.....seriously....you cannot expect us and all the members here to insert that code every time we post when the tech team should be easily capable of fixing this. There is not a single other forum on the web that I've ever seen that cannot fix something like this....

Yes, AZ, we are supposed to write the code every time we want a paragraph....because apparently our tech team cannot solve what really is a basic programming function....

HelpinAZ, we fixed the para break issue. Using break code was a temporary solution. Please check if its working now.

Regarding newest / oldest post issue we are not implementing it for the time being as most of the moderators' are finding it difficult to adapt to the changes.

I tested Jason - It seems to be working great!

Thanks!!

And, I guess I will just have to scroll to the bottom to hit last.. No big deal, I can adapt. :)

More important though - I was last on the site yesterday before I went to work at 4:00 am and when I came in this morning and went to post since last visit.. This is the time frame I am getting - this is annoying to me, since I have to manipulate to get to where I last was: any suggestions?

The mods are not the only ones reading this forum...as a regular reader, I would find it very difficult to understand what is going on because it is all out of order. This should not be a difficult fix for the sake of our posters.

the wonderful tech team in INDIA are either lazy, incompetant or both.sorry, but stop acting like every problem is an inconvenience.this is a bottom of the barrel solution.people shouldn't have to jump through hoops like this.it is disgustingly pathetic.BTW thank you soaplady as i have received PM'S about this so it isn't just us MODS.
