Has anyone heard of MRS? I had a message from them to call about an important legal matter. The caller spoke in broken English.

I was receiving calls from MRS associates (nasty voice messages) and a bill. It was for my husband and he is terminally ill so I sent them a debt validation letter for me to more info and the calls stopped and I sent the letter on March 30 certified and have not heard back from them.

I'm not sure why they would call me. I have paid off all of my payday loans. After dealing with Ellis Crosby I am always nervious about calling company's when they don't leave the name of the company in the message. I tried to call them last night, but it was after their business hours, that is how I know who called. They are listed on Bud Hibbs website as one of the bad ones. Has anyone else had dealings with them?

I had to send them a validation letter plus a durable power of attorney to which they could discuss the matter with me. I have not heard back I am not trying to get out of paying the bill for my husband I just needed to send them that before they would even discuss anything with me. They did leave nasty messages and I called and told me we can't discuss the situation so I sent that in and am waiting to hear from them.

I called them. They were trying to collect $145 they said was due on a old Office1 SuperStore account that we paid off in March 2003. I have proof of the payoff so I faxed it to them. It wasn't in collections. We just paid off several bills with our tax money. The call took 15 minutes because of the guys English. Hopefully that is the end of it, but who knows. Thanks for your help.

They all say "important legal matter" or "time sensitive business matter" or "case pending in the office" when it is never any of those. Some of these agencies perform some highly unnecessary theatrics. Bills are bills and nothing more, and nobody can conjure up huge wads of cash the way some of the collectors seem to expect you to. Just pay as you can and you can't be touched, and carry on as usual. This crap can't control you just as long as you don't let it.

These people were calling for my daughter and MRS refused to stop calling even though it is not a valid number for her. I know I did not co-sign and should not be getting harrassed by MRS. I asked them to give me their names and a valid address for our attorneys and they did not want to comply. If this is a respected debt collection agency, I would expect that they would not yell and make false accusations, especially if it is to the wrong party. There is no need for harrassment. My attorney will be writting the letter today. IF not for internet I would not be able to do this!

This stupid company has been calling me for MONTHS and they have the wrong number. I have threatened to file harrassment at the local police department and they STILL call me. Anything I can do?

MRS called my parents house yesterday asking for my ex-husband...I am wondering how they even got that number, my ex has never been assicoated with that phone number. When I called they couldn't tell me anything except that if I have a message then to call back and they would be able to answer my questions. My ex and I have been divorced for 3 years....do they dig into people's background looking for a way to contact the person that they are looking for.

I work close to MSR building in Cherry Hill, NJ, location and let me tell you that the harassing part is not the worst. They are very nasty people that don???t respect other people???s parking lots. Also, they do not respect the surrounding areas, because they are littering with McDonald, Burger King, and Dunking Donuts bags and leftover food. And the funniest thing is the dress code they have for work. It is outrageously horrible!!!!!! I don???t know where they go shopping, but they definitely know how to make a fashion statement. For example, the ???Big Girls??? are always trying to fit into the junior size clothes, and all the curves are exposed (the ???muffin effect???) to the point that we all are going to need a therapy for the visual shock we get from them. You really have to see them to believe it. Stacy & Clinton from What Not to Wear would have a hay day with this Bldg. I also wonder how they can afford luxury cars/trucks (BMW???s, Volvo???s, Mercedes etc.) Oooooh wait, that???s because they are stealing people???s identities while at work. Even one of my fellow co-workers saw 2 of their fateful employees walking by our Bldg. sharing a joint. Now that???s a fortune 500 company.
