My account was debited by MTE financial for $140 on 12/1/06 and I never heard of them or authorized this transaction. Please let me know what I can do to stop them again.

email address removed as per forum rules - Mike

Well, I have confirmed that my loan is paid in full with Quickest Cash Advance without incident. Hopefully it will stay that way when next payday comes around.

I have been screwed for 30,90,90,90,140,125,110!! I just filed a claim with my bank and I MAY...only MAY be able to recover the 125 and the 110....they only go back 60 days on fraudulent activity and I just missed the 140 debit by two freaken days!!!
I hope any and all of you screwed by these b@#$%$#s get some of your money back!! Good luck!!

I couldnt understand why i was getting overdraft charges by my bank. when i went in they told me that there were several debits from my accounts for amounts varying from $90 up to $140.00 and they were all unauthoriazed. I never applied or got a payday loan from them or another company. There was no record of a credit on my account but all the debits were quick in coming out. The bank could only go back 60 days and they refunded my money to me. The bank had no contact info on them. I then got an email from them stating that i owed them 795.00 and they would settle for 25% discount and i didnt even get a loan from them in the first place. This is totally unfair to all the people this has happened to, and I have yet to get my overdraft fees back that this has caused. I was only able to get $555.00 back from my bank that they took and that was only going back 60 days, there were a few other debits even before that.

I'm sorry that happened to you. To prevent this from happening again, you may want to close that account and open a new one. Unfortunately these companies are very crooked and may attempt this same thing again. Better to be safe than sorry. File a complaint with your state's attorne general's office against this company.

One of the reps just called my job to speak with an employee. The rep's name is Victoria and their callback number is 10800-325-8208. so I called the number back and I asked them the name of the company and she stated that the name is MTE Financial. I hope my co-worker isn't caught up in some type of scam. Anytime that you are dealing with a payday advance company, it's a good ideal to remember why you are needing their service in the first place and to also remember that you can't fix a problem with a problem. Take Care and slow your spending. Know you money limitations and get rid of the things that you don't need in life that are costing you to not be able to keep your heads above water. Things like, cell phone, name brand clothes, eating out and simply trying to look as if you have something when you really don't have anything.

For $30.00 your bank can put a stop noteon this action and your bank will refund the money but they will also find out if this is a loan you applied for in the past. See if any money was deposited into your account. Good luck from the Doc13

MTE Financial has a number of active websites through which they conduct their online payday loan business. It can be somewhat difficult to find all their aliases because they don't publish this information. One way to determine if your payday loan company (or website) is actually MTE Financial is to search the website for their primary, toll-free number. If it is there, then there is a good chance that you're dealing with MTEF. On the other hand, if you don't see their primary number on the website, it is not necessarily an indication that it is a different company because they do change their numbers from website to website - most likely to make it difficult for borrowers to identify them.

The following website lists some known aliases for various payday loan companies:
easypaydaylender.com/Content/PaydayLoanCompanyAliases.htm

Hope this helps...

I took out a payday loan awhile back and when they do remove it from my account...it's always different totals. I can't seem to find out how much I owe but I can figure how much I have paid. I'm pretty sure I borrowed 300 and I've paid , at least, 795. I thought it was only suppose to take out a certain amount. I can't seem to get a hold of them to end this...or better yet...get back some of this money! lol

How do I get them to send me the origional contract. I'm pretty sure that this amount exceeds the legal amount of intrest on any type of loan...it's two months old.

Crife, Welcome to the fourm. We would be happy to help you solve this. Did MTE do this or was it another company? If it was not MTE could you tell us who it was. and what state do you live in? IF you want us to help you when you post the information, it would be helpful if you start your own thread so we can find you easier. :D

crife, I will tell you now that MTE (whoever they loaned you the money as doesn't matter) is NOT licensed/legal anywhere in the United States. They have approximately 20 d/b/a's that they use. However, if your debits are showing as MTE, it's them. And they are illegal. And they will debit you until you are dead in the ground. I know it's safe to close your account in Illinois. You will honestly need to close your bank account. MTE is horrible, evil, nasty. They will NOT stop debiting. The only way to get them to stop is to close your account. And getting any kind of refund from them would be an act of God. I'm going to post something by goudah (one of our members) regarding closing your bank account. Read this and if you have ANY questions at all, please post! :D

Before you close your bank account due to payday loans eating away at your paycheck, please read this.

Some banks have a policy regarding ach transactions that allows them to force open closed accounts if any ach transactions go through within a certain time frame after the account is closed. This can leave you owing a legal bank $1,000's and reported to chexsystems, instead of owing barely legal (or not at all legal) payday loan companies. Not a good thing. Ask your bank what their policy is on ach transactions on closed accounts before you close the account. It's best to go in person and talk to a branch manager.

If your bank does have this policy, tell them your situation. Don't be embarrassed. Take letters with you showing that you have revoked authorization for each of your payday loan companies to debit your account. Tell the bank to put your account on deposit only, an ach block, or a hard hold before they close the account. Your bank can do one of those, don't take no for an answer. This will prevent any payday loan ach's from reopening the bank account.

It'a always best to close your bank account. Leaving it open gives ways for the payday loan companies to continue to take money out. These companies have many different dba's, so blocking them won't work. They will also produce paper checks and run them through your account. Closing the account is the best way to prevent these companies from taking money out of your account.

Some state laws do allow for prosecution if you close your bank account, but that is usually in cases of fraud. But it's always best to check with your state's attorney general or department of financial institution before you close your account. You want to make sure you are not causing more heacaches!

Do they have other sites that are run by the same company? I was reading through and I have a couple of those listed on my account. I never should have taken them out but I can't change that now. I have no problem paying stuff off but it seems like it never ends and I never know what they are going to take out. I think I have ameriloan and 500fastcash.

Crife, please go back through your bank statements and see who else you have loans with. We need to know how much you borrowed from those and the total of how much you have paid back to each. I know ameriloan is a completely different company. Yes there are other companies that are under the MTE umbrella.

crife, if you can tell us who you have loans with, we can find the addresses for you. Hell, we pretty much have most of them memorized! We can then send letters to them all. We can work on that together. We need to get your bank account to the point to where they can not debit any longer first. You need to make sure the bank account is taken care of so they don't take any more of your money. Then we can do some letters and file some complaints, okay? We can help you with it all.

Mte,ameriloan and 500fastcash were the only ones. They were all for $300 each. The Mte loan has been awhile and I have paid over $795. My online statements don't go back that far to see when I got that loan. Ameriloan was taken 10/09/07 and I have paid 300 exactly so far and 500fastcash 11/06/07 and i've paid only 90 so far.

That's what MTE is "known" for. They will rob you blind if you let them. You need to close that bank account. You can pay $800 on a $300 loan and they will insist that you still owe them money. And they are not even licensed to lend in the US! They are amazing!
