Well, I was involved in an accident in 2001. I failed to have auto insurance resulting in a judgment against my license. The total debt was $4,409. I had set up a promissary note to pay $175/mo.to Javitch,Block & Rathbone(attorneys@law) I decreased the debt to $2,883 in 2003 and then I lost my job. A 10% interest rate applies as well. The debt has since gone up! I live out in the country without a license. For the past 5 yrs. I have been unable to hold a job due to my lack of transportation and unable to pursue further edjucation for a career in CNC programming. I am currently on unemployment looking for work once again. Unfortunately, the judgment is untill 2010 with no possibility of a payment plan. I need help consolidating this debt so I can Drive! Once the debt is clear I can go get my license,AUTO INSURANCE,
and become a functioning member of society. Thank You

There will be someone calling from your area for the free counseling. Explain your debt situation clearly so that he works out something for you. Since a judgment has already been placed, it won't be easier omitting this debt. Instead, legal actions can come up at a short notice if you fail to make the payments. This is an urgent situation and I hope your consultant takes care of this problem. Good luck

Another thing you can consider is calling an attorney..Usually they will give you a free phone consultation, and I know there are attorneys who can help with driver license restoration. I have heard of situations where you can have a license only to drive to work if you can prove hardship. Good luck with this, please let us know how it works out for you.

Fins is right. I have had several of my clients just go to the judge and they are given temporary work licenses to only drive the hours they are working. They want you to work to pay this off,so they usueally will give you one of these ,but since you have no insurance,I'm not sure how that would be something they could do.Keep us posted...Karen
