A very rude guy from Capital Collections harassed me at my place of employment and then I responded by e-mail and he was stupid enough to be rude on the e-mail. Anyway...he says that he is going to prosecute me for writing bad checks and I don't know what my next step is besides filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office which won't get the debt paid. I was willing to make arrangements on what is a small amount, $275 but he says NO! Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Who is the original company? Try to work out a payment plan with them. They might be easier working on your proposals. You won't have to work with the collection agency if your file is still with the original creditor. If they accept payments from you, the OC can pull your file back from collections.
