I recieved a phone call from someone telling me I was approved for a loan. They put the money in my account and said I would be charged the loan amount and finance charge on the first of this month the money was in there but they never withdrew it I called and they said it had been placed in collection what do I do about this?

Hi, welcome to the forums!

First off, did you agree to the loan? Do you have any loan documents? Placing money into your account has to have your approval, if they're wanting to get it back? Just because they have an account number, doesn't mean they can put money into your account, and charge you finance fees.

Talk with the collection agency. Tell them your story, and also get validation of this debt. There are various letters around in the forums. One of which is very detailed, and makes sure the company collecting has a legal right to do so.
