I have several credit cards that because of medical expenses and other unexpected things have now become maxed out. I am barely able to make the minimum payments every month and am starting to fall behind. I really need to consolodate everything and work on paying them down, but regular banks won't loan me the money to pay off my credit cards. I would like to just cut them all up, pay down the debt, and start over, but if I don't figure out a way to do that soon, I'm going to start becoming delinquent on everything.

Hi

Discuss this matter with the counselor. He will be talking to you soon about your options. Budget your monthly needs and combine all the debts into one monthly payment. Things will start to improve after putting everything under the consolidation program. A good debt counselor will negotiate with your credit companies for the lowest interest rate.
