I am in over my head with payday loans. I am
paying nearly $2000.00 a month for them. Is
there a company that will help consolidate
them?

Hello,
Welcome to the website, since you have registered with the site you will be receiving a call from a counselor who will discuss your situations and the options you have. In the meantime why don't you tell us a little bit more about your situation. What types of Payday loans are you dealing with..store front or online?

Right know your main concern is to get the store front lenders paid back. You can contact them and let them know your situation and see if they would be willing to make arragnements to pay the amount borrowed back.

What online lenders do you have? Have you paid back the principal amount borrowed? Here are the state laws for Arkansas(just select your state),

I do not understand what these laws mean. If you add up the fees I have paid to them, some lenders have been paid 4 or 5 times what the amount of the loan was. How does that work? I have loans with United Cash, National Payday, Geneva Roth Ventures, Mr. Cash, Payday Select, Pay-day Advance, Star Advance, Payday Select. Needless to say I am way in over my head.

If you have paid back more than the principal and the legal interest then you can send them a pdl settlement letter inserting your state's pdl laws (listed above from Tammy's post) and demand that they mark your pdl paid in full. You also need to file a complaint with your state's AG office, even against the one's you still owe on the principal to, because i am willing to bet that none of your internet pdls are licensed in your state to do business.

Could you please tell us what companies you are dealing with? Also, how much have you borrowed/paid back? let us know and we will be able to help you. Try to calm down. It's not as bad as it seems and you are not alone. :)

I am in florida and could you some help too. Just registered to the site the other night.
I owe:
$200 cashtransfer center (Paid in full on 6/6)

$300 Loanshop ($900 interest 0 principal)

$300 CMG (paid $510 in interest only 0 to principal)

$300 United Cash Loans (have only made 1 interest payments as of yet)

$300 500fastcash (paid $180 interest payments)

$200 MTE financial(paid $340 Interest $100 Principal)

$450 Cashnetusa (I know they are legit and don't have a problem paying them)

$200 thinkcash (another legit and very manageble loan, more of a legit loan than a payday loan.)

I can and can't efford to pay them. I am making my monthly payments but not without a struggle and sometimes without being able to put food on the table. The interest is killing me. I mean loanshop.. $900 on a $300 loan and nothing towards the principal. I haven't received an email from them about a principal payment in god knows how long.

My biggest issue is if I fill out the "settlement paperwork" and they start calling my job. I can lose my job by accepting personal phone calls and my boss will not put up with it at all. I am a supervisor as well and it will look really bad for my career. I don't particularly want them calling my refrences either!! I just don't know what to do. Any help??

Have you closed you bank account, revoke their ach debits, sent letters notifying them of the illegal lending in Florida, asking for the refund for the overpayment? I know that Loan Shop if you fight you will get a refund, United, 500Fastcash, MTE Financial will give you lots of mgraines and will harras you to death and even try to present bogus check in order to collect (this happened to me with one of their branch) they will also report you to Teletrac, Cash Transfer you can workout a repayment plan. I do not know the other ones. In referenc to Loan Shop you should only owed them $300 plus 45-66 for finance charge the diference should be refunded to you. Make sure that when you send the letters notifyind them you are revoking their auto ACH that you file a complaint with the Dept. of Financial Regulations (Florida) and also file a complaint with the Attorney General.

I haven't done any of that because I am having issues trying to open another bank account due to my credit issues. I would like to start filing those complaints as well as revoke ach debits but am worried about them calling my employer as it can cost me my job. Then I am worse off than if I just paid them. Can you post the laws for Florida here? or PM them to me so I can have it for those letters.
