i have previous debt from student loans and couple cars

Hi cscottcr, you come up as a registered member in the website. Did you sign for the free counseling? A consultant from your area will be calling for the free counseling. You can tell him about your debts. He may help you in consolidating everything under one payment plan. I doubt he will do anything on your car loans because it's a secured debt.
