Hello,
Over the past year my husband and I have been suffering through wage garnishment and high interest on vehicle loans. Over a period of time cost of living keeps increasing but not our wages. We have defaulted on 3 payday loans and are making payments to the company, but I have recently received a summons from court stating that I am being sued for a past credit card debt. We need help straightening out our expenses and living stress free from all the phone calls. I am a few months behind in our mortgage and 1 vehicle loan. Need help ASAP before any thing worse happens.

Welcome to the boards Taylor and I hope you keep posting as many can offer great advice here.

I had to go to civil court a few years back in regards to a Capitol One card that I owed on of course the judgement was against me but the next day I went to our local general sessions court and filed a slow pay and Capitol One had to take my offer of payments.

good luck

Hi Taylor, you can take the advice of a debt counselor before the creditor sues you in the courtroom. He can call the credit company and make some payment arrangements on your credit card debts. This will avert the chances of a lawsuit by the company. After you have enrolled in the consolidation plan, the repayments will be done according to your present financial situation. The accounts will slowly get paid through the program.

At this point, you may also try for an extra job so that you are able to roll your daily expenses. You need to have a good source of income and waive off any unnecessary expenses. Remember, your income should be at the top of your expenses so that maximum saving is possible for paying your debts. You can also find other easy options for paying your debts through differnt management programs.
