Lost, Mis-guided Young Man... trying to get back on track.
Date: Thu, 11/16/2006 - 09:31
I was a child with average grades; well on my way to school with a scholarship taking care of most of the costs. I took out a student loan with "Sallie Mae" and the "Atlanta College of Art"(the school I attended) to pay for the rest. Within the 1.5 years of me attending the school, I received a rude awakening. With average grades I lost my scholarship and was forced to leave school. With me doing so, I was entitled to pay off loans after the 1st 3 months of leaving school. I bounced around from job to job finally setting in on a teller position with Wachovia. The pay was decent, as I was to take care of my everyday needs, but was never able to get back on track. As a few years passed on, I was laid-off from my job. Soon after, I found myself very behind on student loans through "Sallie-Mae" & "The Atlanta College of Art", un-able to get credit cards because of my low credit score, un-able to pay back payday loans with "Ace Cash Express", and "Check N' Go", also with Two accounts in collections with "Penncro Associates" and "Labcore". I was able to take care a "Sprint" account that was in collections, and a "Bank of America" credit card, however the rest seems too heavy carry alone. I'm lost, I feel scared, and it seems hopeless. I'm only 22 years of age, and when it's time to leave from my parents, I want to have a decent credit score and I want to able to stand on my own feet. Please, help!

Hi blackjynx02
There are options; you just have to figure out the right one for you. No one remains in debt for ever. So, don't feel so down.
Your prime concern is to find a job so that you can afford your living and make the payments fixed in the plan. You have to think positive for getting the best results.
