Parents Debt
Date: Wed, 12/13/2006 - 16:36
Mom has been sick for many years and she just recently died. Dad has been paying all Mom's co-pays on his credit card in his name as Mom never really had any credit cards and it has snowballed to appx 20K. Dad, who is retired, has been making the minimum payments on the cards but and this point I don't think he'll ever get them paid off. Any chance the creditors will offer a payout amount. If they review the transaction history they will see almost all charges are medical payment related??
Appreciate your input.
Thanks,
J
