 Hello all!! Stumbled upon this site at work while worrying about how to pay off 1000.00 worth of pdl's (between me and my husband). They are now 3weeks past due and I dont know what I am suppossed to do with all of the regular bills coming in!!!!!

First, you need to get control of your finances back. Talk to your bank. See if you can get these blocked or (what many of us found was the most beneficial) close that account and open a new account.

What state do you live in? Are these store front or internet PDLs? Also, what are the names of the companies? If you provide us with this information, we can help.

Jeannie if these are storefront you will have to try and reach a payment arrangement with them. Payday lending is Legal in your state. Go to www.paydayloaninfo.org and look up state laws. Storefronts are usually legal. If they are internet check to see if they are licensed to do business in your state. Either way send in complaints to your Attorney Generals office. Best Wishes Keep posting and let us know how you are doing. KYSIDE38

Sorry it took me so long to answer. Do as Jessi says and make payment arrangements. Do only what you can afford. Hopefully they will work with you. Best Wishes KYSIDE38

Not always true Debtfairy. I closed my account and opened up a new one. My bank was great. Blocked all ACH transactions and paper checks from these vultures. KYSIDE38

You have a good bank then. That was my experience with two banks, U.S. Bank and Zions Bank. The Zions account was an fbo account for my son opened by my daughter. I was just a signator on the account. I had a different account with Zions for myself. When he let the account go bad, they credited the fbo account from my account.
