HK Hess - Con Artists

DON'T sign up with HK Hess. They took my money and didn't do ANYTHING that they said they would do. They didn't contact any of my creditors and when they started calling me, I was told I had to give them the information. What am I paying HK for then? I signed up with them last year and cancelled my service after they didn't do anything for me and I still have not received my money back. I was not behind on any of my credit cards, just way in over my head. Now I'm 5 months behind, have excessive over the limit fees and late fees. I now owe even more than I did when I signed up with HK. BEWARE of them. They are a bunch of liars who are just looking to make a buck off you.

Go through the fine print that you signed with HK. It must mention when they were supposed to start negotiations with your creditors. If you signed for debt settlement, the accounts have to be in defaults and you must put your money in the new account for the settlement company to start negotiations with your creditors. I guess you are already aware about it.
