I'm not quite sure how much debt I got so far, but here is a quick overview:

1. Around $5,000 in credit cards
2. About $1,500 from a department store
3. Around $12,000 in College loans

I used a bill consolidation service in the past. It worked okay and I got out of debt. Since then however I got once again in debt almost at a blink of on eye. It is already kind of overwhelming. Over half my salary already goes to bills, and sometimes I even have trouble making minimum payments.

The first thing you need to do is pull the latest copy of your credit report and find the actual standing of each account. Once you know their status, calculate how much you will be able to afford on repayments. You may consider a debt management program for a reduced payment plan. Consolidation plan will lower the existing interest rates with your creditors. You will also have most of the late payment fees waived off. Speak with a debt counselor and know more on your repayment plans.

I am going to be blnt and to the point, you are living beyond your means, you need some serious financial counseling along with a debt management program, if you had good luck with the previous company why not use them again.

I say you are living beyond your means from expeience right now I am in too much house and car, I should not have either. I am in total denial BUT I am trying to find a better paying job but I am not sure if that will help. So I don't say that to be mean, I know where you are at and I am QUEEN of denial.
