I am about to graduate from college and have applied to be a City of Columbia, SC police officer. Upon getting my credit report I found that there were a few MD/Dental bills I was unaware wasn't paid by the insurance ($1500) and a credit card at ($1300). I need to consolidate these bills and pay them back. I also need proof for the Police Department to show I have arranged payment before I am able to take the position. Can you please help?

Hi melweathers,

You can discuss your situation with a counselor referred by this website and know the repayment plan. Shop with different companies and get the best quote in your situation. Start calling your creditors and let them know that you are interested in paying the previous accounts. They will possibly offer you a repayment plan according to your situation.

Welcome to the Community :D Consolidation, and the process, can take some time. Have you considered contacting the original creditors and asking them to work a payment plan with you? Sometimes they are willing to drop interest and such if you will commit to a payment plan, and they possibly give you something in writing. If you have any questions, please ask..Good Luck..Karen
