Consolidate my Credit Cards

My boyfriend who is my future husband is making consolidate my credit cards before we get married. I am trying to find the best consolidation company so that I can cosolidate my 5 credit cards, equalling $1750.00 so that I can pay huge amounts on the principal and not have to pay 5 different interest rates. I am hoping to try and take care of this as soon as possible.

I am in the process of consolidating my credit cards right now. I know that I read somewhere on this board that the credit card companies might place this on my credit report. But I don't know whether that is true or not. I would like some more information on this as well.
