It all started when I was 18 and started to make pretty good money. I was a bartender at a local bar and did pretty well. For the first year and a half, I saved nearly $8k and was consistently saving every month.

I went on spring break in mexico and thats when things started to get a little out of hand. When i retunred home, I was about $800 in debt and I was transferring away to school. No big deal, I quit my job and took another bartending gig at a seasonal place and that summer it started to rain alot and i wasnt making as much as i anticiapted.

The sory continues onto Buffalo, NY where I was going away to school. Fortunatley for me, my parents were giving me enough money to pay bills and have a little phone on top of that. So what did I do in shcool, instead of balancing work, study and play, i just played.

My junior year my freind from all differnt shcools decided we would meet in vegas for a weekend. Gambling, booze, partying. Gambling, booze, parrtying. repeat. YOU get the point, I came back to buffalo in about 3 grand of debt. the rest of my college years, the debt piled up with nothing to show for it. clothes, gadgets, girlfriend, dinner, etc to
the debt piled up to about 12-15k.

OK, great now i am going to start earning money and be rich and pay down my debt. not so fast, i am in a comiisioned based business where they ask me to stomahc alot of the costs. tack on another 10 grand and that leads me to where i am today.

my credit is 670, but every month it is a struggle, esp when you have no incom certain months, but i have still managed to pay my bills on time.

i 4 credit cards out right now, 14k, 4k, 4k, and 2k and the payments come out to about 600 a month. i really wanted to consolidate and get one low monhly payment, so i treid personal loans, denied, new credit cards, denied (how lovely zero percent is for 12 months-they really know how to rope you)..so that leads to me to where i am today...i want one payment and an exit strategy, any ideas help etc wihtou destroying my credit?

Consolidate your debts under one payment plan and your credit will start improving in the process. It looks like a good move in your case.

The creditor will be posting your account as "paid" with the bureaus after the accounts get cleared. You just need to make sure that you stick to the plan in the program.

The counselor will call all your creditors and negotiate for lower interest rates and waive off most of the late payment fees. You will have a reduced balance to pay under easy monthly installments.

Get started and your credit will make a positive turn. If you leave the accounts delinquent, it will be hard to see the scores going down every month and not able to manage with the existing interest rates.
