I am dumb and got myself way in over my head with debt.

Welcome to the Community :D You certainly aren't dumb!

We all have made some poor choices concerning our debt- or had to, to survive!

You will find help and support here.

What type of debt are you dealing with?

If you could tell us what state you are in, the companies names and if they are in collections- it would help give us a direction to point you in.

You can also take advantage of the free credit counseling, and see what option you may have concerning your debt, such as consolidation.

Feel free to as questions and to post-no personal info for your safety- we are here to help..KAren

You are not dumb at all. As ladybug said, you make mistakes and learn from them.

If you are lucky, you wont make the same mistake twice. I had a hard time with credit in my early 20's and late teens--but now that I'm in my late 20's I know that I will do better now and not have so many credit cards and make big mistakes.

I hope you find assitance here. Everyone has been really helpful and supportive to me.

I agree with everything everyone else said. You aren't dumb. Actually, give your self points for admitting that you are over your head. Its hard to admit. Ask for a free consultation-its a little scary as you don't know what's happening next, but someone will contact you & help you along.

Ask us anything! We all have different areas of knowledege & someone is bound to be able to help you! I've never gone more than a few hours in waiting for a response to a question or concern. Then there are people like me who don't have that much knowledge, but we are more than willing to listen & offer support until you get an answer.

Best of luck!
