I feel so STUPID!!!

I allowed myself to get into over $50,000 in credit card debt. I new what I was doing was wrong, spending what I don't have. It started after being divorced and not wanting to give up the "life-style". Not that I have a high maintenance personallity, but my husband (ex) was the one who kept the reigns on. He is very responsible with money and he kept me that way. Now I don't have that and I can't seem to control myself. I try for a while, then get overwhelmed and give up.

I am behind in payments and have written letters to which they have not responded. I also have been making "good-faith" payments, but they are not the minimum due. I found your forum today and saw sample letters. I have renewed faith after reading some of the posts. I will write the credit card companies again, using the language this site suggests and see what happens. I also will tackle one at a time as to not feel so over whelmed.

I have to "Just Do It!" Igoring my proble will not make it go away!
