How to Prosper in a Slow Economy

My story as to why we got into debt years ago. Life was great we both had jobs, 2 small kids. A weekend home. Then my husband was let go after 20 years. They wanted the young people out of college, as they could pay them less, they had no family that they need to pay health insurance for, and didn't have 8 weeks holidays a year. It hit my husband hard, as he had worked his way up the ladder. Being older and everyone wanting a University degree and he did not have one took a tole. So he did not work for a year. We decided at that time that he was not going to go back to work in the corporate world and work for anyone else and put himself in the hands of others.
I had met a gal that wanted to show me her Business opportunity during this time. But was not interested in the business side, just the products as it was a company that cared about the environment and peoples health. I have allergies and my son had asthma so being a customer just made sense. So after a year we decided that we loved the products so much ,and my son was off his puffers, that it just made sense to show others. So that is what we did. Today we both work from home and enjoy our life, our business is actually thriving in this tough economy. As every one is looking for Green Products, Saving Money and also ways to have extra income in their home or just to have any income these days. This company is a great company, it is not MLM,they are 23 years old, and an INC 500 company. In this tough time we grew by 30 million in sales, so no one gets hurt, you don't have to have money to do this, and you don't have inventory. And no one is spending any new money,and that is really the key in this tough time, this is old money, as no matter how hard times are we all have to brush our teeth, take a bath and wash our clothes.
So we have never looked back, but we do consider ourselves lucky to have found this opportunity. and now we get to help others in this tough economy. Which is what I love.
