Here is my story.
I went on maternity leave and even with the paid time off I had it just wasnt enough. So I got a pay day loan. Several months later I got 4 more than 2 weeks later 2 more. So total I had 9 and thats store pay day loans. Then I had bright idea that I would get IN payday loans to repay my store pdl. well that didnt help and within 2 weeks a managed to get 8 more IN pay loans. I am about to start paying my store pdl, well making arrangments. And my IN loans I have paid interest and in about 2 weeks when i cant repay them the phonecalls will start....My stomach is really turning becuase I am a nurse at hospital on a small unit. So I'm afraid of what everyone will think. Alsoall the wild harrasment stories I have heard. I have good intentions on paying them.Im young and I made some dumb money managment mistakes. I make decent money so I can pay them off except I know it will take some time and some planning. I have found a lot of good info on this site. I'm not sure what happened...bad money managment.

First off, we here at this site understand how easy it is to get into the "payday loan trap." Most of us have been there. It just snowballs before you realize what's happening.
Definitely contact your store front PDLs first. These you will have to make payment arrangements with.
What state do you reside in, and what are the name of the internet PDLs? How much were the principals on each and how much have you paid (including interest and any other fees) on each? If they are not licensed in your state, you may only have to pay back the original (principal) amount that you borrowed.
Also, since you have joined this site, a debt counselor, if one has't already, should be contacting you and can tell you what your best options would be.
We're here for you.

Keep the Texas laws on payday loans at one side and go through your bank statements. You will know how much has been paid on the accounts and how much is still owed. The internet lenders will intimidate you for sending more money each time. They don't follow the state laws in most cases and you end up paying excessive money only in interests.
You will find all the loan companies you're dealing with in this forum. Put a search on the google box at the top and go to the active threads. Follow what others are doing and be aware of your rights when talking to the companies. Report any unfair activities of the pdl lenders to your state AG and bring them to normal behavior.

Go to this site for the pay day loan laws in Texas.
Also, do a google search for pollyandsay's blog (or look at some of the forums and access her blog that way). When you get to the blog, on the right side in green under "Corporations search by state," you can look up the companies to see if they're licensed. Then you can go from there.

I have a blog specifically for internet pdl's with Texas statutes already inserted. It's "

I will strongly recommend that you call the lenders and explain your problems. If you wait and let them call you, they will sound harsh because you stopped paying them.
If you let them know about your problems coming in the future, they may do some adjustments and you won't have to go through the endless phone calls coming your way.
