My story began several years ago. My first experience since being disabled. H-L-T Check exchange. Nice freindly hometown folks. I actually dont blame the nice people, just the legal mafia style loansharking by the companies they work for. Since 2002, I was paying them $500. to get $425. per month. I make about $12,000. per year. Heres the math, $75.00 x 12 mo. = $900.00... x 4yrs = $3600.00. Wow!!! Thats not all now i have 6 of these Put-me Down Lowerinthehole no credit check, confidential, (if your lucky) first fee free, and if you refer someone you get a reward. HA HA. I refered my brother who is also disabled, and now is at all 6. They see us commin on the 1st and the 3rd of every month, (they know us by name) They say "Howdy how ya all doin? good ta see ya agin. we plop down the money they give us the old check we givem a new check they give us back the money we gavem less the 458.00 % fee. We shoot the short breeze (because there are up to 10 more Poor Downtroden Lowerlifes behind us), and we head on into town to the next one on our list, (they are all less than 2 miles away from each other). I hope it is alright to name these Places Doinbusinessas Loansharks. Legal ones that is. We freak out to make sure we get the right name on the check at the right place, makin sure that we putem in order to make sure we got the right amount. Whew, Is it Check into cash, or Check Advance, or Cash Express, or KY cash advance, and dont forget A+Cash Advance. By the time we get home we are Pritneer Darn Lucky to have enough to Last the next 29 days till its agin time to Pay Dem Luckysonsoguns. This is my first day here, and am already feeling the Hope that My brother and I can finnaly get help to get out of these Pesty-Doggone-Loans. Thats my story, and im stickin to it, I hope to Make a final chapter and become debt-free with the help of DCC. by the way, If I had to payem all at once. It would take 2-3 of my monthly income checks. Glad to have found this place. TONYRAND960

Tony, feel comfortable here. Talk to us and you will get valuable help from everyone. Most of us have experiences of taking the payday loans and the painful struggles all along. Some people here are now payday loan free. :) And they offer their suggestions and help in every possible ways. It becomes easier for those who are coming out of the trap. Once we have learnt the hard lesson, we realize taking a payday loan was the biggest mistake ever. Don't fall for it in the future. It won't do any good. There are many stores in your place. It will be difficult to control the temptations during hard times, (these loan companies prey on individual weaknesses) but remember the pain you are going through at this stage. Don't allow yourself take a new loan again in the future.

No.. don't even look towards them. They all are corrupt individuals. They will spoil you in short time... (just kidding).. I know you are very sensible person.

But, if I have imagined your area correctly, it's pretty tough to live in such surroundings when you have these sharks all around. They are preying on someone new everyday. Isn't your state providing any legal protection against such companies doing business?

They only make about 9 to 10 bucks an hour. A lot of them are in the PDL cycle too...

Swear to God, I saw the manager from a store in another store down the street, with her head down in shame...

And Im not kidding there are poor people standing in line on the first and third of the month and you have to know they are tied up just like me. If I get help out of this I think I will become an advocate and stand out and give these poor KY people some hope I get from this community I would like to see the govt take some harsh action here in KY where there is no limit to rollovers. and there are PDLs on just about every block and shopping centers. Its the worst ive seen

Quote:

RE: Your Complaint

Ms. Pohl,

We have received your correspondence regarding your complaint with our company. It appears as though you have misunderstood the terms of your loan agreement.

While the information that you have collected may apply to companies that have locations in your state, it does not apply to Internet Lenders. We do not have a physical location (office) in your state, therefore the same restrictions do not apply to us. This is based on sound advice from our legal department.

We lent you money in good faith, with the understanding that you would abide by the terms detailed on your loan contract. We upheld our end of the agreement by crediting the funds to your account, and had good faith that you would uphold your end of the agreement in return.

While we believe that all terms and conditions of the loan agreement have been met on our end, it has always been our policy to make sure that the customer is happy and completely satisfied with our services. For this reason, we are waiving all finance charges due on your loan since you believe it to be unfair and are willing to settle for the $200.00 that we loaned to you only.

In order to accept the offer that we are making, the arrangement will need to be made without the involvement of a third-party debt consolidation company. Due to your financial hardship, we are willing to allow you a full two months to satisfy the debt, meaning that you will have two months from the date that your agreement is received to repay the $200.00. Payments must be received in the form of either Cashier????????s Checks or Money Orders and we will expect your first good-faith payment no later than 8/31/06.

We expect this offer will bring us to an amicable resolution. Please acknowledge your understanding and acceptance of our proposal if you are in agreement with the offer detailed above. Once your acknowledgement/agreement is received, we will provide you with the information necessary for sending your payments to satisfy your debt.

Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

Respectfully,

Compliance Department

Tony, this is such a nice testimonial to have and commence your fight against the payday loans in your area. You should invite others in your area also to participate here and know about their rights. Hopefully, they will also get the answers to their questions never discussed with anybody earlier. Good luck! :)

I live on disability, and used the free legal help that is available to anyone on a fixed income, their advice is to close your old account open a new one and ignore them. They might get a judgement against you but most of the time it will cost them more to go through all the legal stuff, than to just "write it off" as a tax deduction. They cannot garnish a govt check, and most of the time you are considered "judgement proof" which means you have nothing they can take away from you. good luck to all. Most states have what is called "legal aid" for people who are considered "low income" I figured out that with the one company I originally started out with payday loan in 2002, and I have paid all of them off many many times $75.00 a month for 4 years came to be over $1000.00 per year. Just think of what I could have done with that $1000.00 I sure wouldnt have needed a PDL. But thats what happens to their "targets or PREY" mostly low income and minorities.
