I owe over 10,ooo dollars to student loans, about another 15,000 between old credit cards and medical and i recieve child support maybe 2 months out of the year. I have to feed and clothe my child, maintain my house, car payment, and basic utilities; and that alone takes 95% of my income. I also can not go back to school because I don't qualify for grants because of the student loans. I don't know what to do anymore.I am afraid i will lose my house and that my paychecks will be garnished for the student loans. I that happens, i will lose everything. I need to find a way to get all those items into one monthly payment(excluding the car and house). Can you all really help?

Nancy, I feel sad but there is some positive hope at the other end. Don't give up so easily. You have to give priority to your debts also before the credit companies intend to take legal actions against you. Talk to a debt counselor here. He will assist you in negotiating with your credit companies and make partial payments towards your accounts. If all the money you earn is going towards the necessities, you have to increase your sources of income so that the other debts can also be paid off in monthly installments. While a consolidation program will help you in making the monthly payments with your creditors, you need to have some money at the end of your month so that you can make up the crisis. Talking to a counselor will definitely help because he will frame your payments as per your present financial situation. Relax!
