What types of debt do not cover a statute of limitations timeframe? Please let me know this thing.
Thanks, Rozanne

Following debts are not included in the Statutes of limitations timeframe:

  • Federal student loans.

  • Specific types of fines

  • Past due child support depending upon the state

  • Taxes. There are some specific taxes that have a 10 year SOL but this can be suspended as well as increased if proper forms are filed. Consult with your tax attorney fitting your situation.

Rest all other types of debt are within the SOL timeline and are calculated from the date of last activity of the particular account.
