Beware of Cramming

My mother called me yesterday about some strange charges on her phone bill.

After I did some googling I found she was a victim of cramming.

It is the practice of companies putting bogus charges on your phone bill and trying to hide them as service fees or voice mail.

She is on a very limited income and the extra $25 on her bill made them stick out. Some were low like $2.95 so she may not have even noticed if there had not been so many different ones.
She contacted the phone company and they are going to have them removed.

The ones on her bill were from ILD Servces, MyBillingGuy and some voice mail services. So double check your phone bills for extra chrages.

Remember the squeeky wheel get the grease & the trick is to remain firm while being polite. Most of my creditors know I can be a major PITA,but I am a low risk who always pays his bills on time. :lol: :lol:
