The only reason I asked this is b/c I live in NC and they are illegal here. My LAST one is saying that they are below 36% interest cap and therefore they aren't illegal, but they got my info through another site where I had applied and they gave me a loan anyway. This was before I knew that they were illegal in NC. After I found out that they were illegal, I went onto their individual website and it states plainly on there that they don't loan in NC????

Payday lending is prohibited in the state of NC, regardless if they are below the usuray rate. Besides on the site they state that they don't lend in NC, but they did anyway. I would think that the would to settle with as soon as possible. Just stay strong and don't back down

natdust,
Can you go to your local library to print off the letter? I would send them the e-mail to start with and go from there. Payday loans are illegal in NC no matter what they say. If they stipulated on their website that they don't loan in NC and did anyway, they could be in bigger trouble than they realize. Have you filed complaints with your states AG's office?
