HELP!!!! Just found that Pdls are prohibited in NC
Date: Tue, 08/21/2007 - 05:04
I need help. I found out that PDL are "prohibited" in my state of North Carolina. I currently have outstanding loans with the following:
Ameriloan: $390.00 (I've paid 60.00 finance charges)
EZPAYDAY: $525.00
OneClickCash: $390.00 (I've paid $75.00)
Nationwide Cash: $500.00 (I've paid $315.00 in finance charges because I can't pay the whole amount off right now.)
I'm going to pay them, but how can I stop them from drafting my checking account, the finance charges are due tomorrow? I've emailed them and gotten no response. I don't want them contacting my supervisor and making her aware of my financial woes. Is there anything I can do. I've heard of a letter I can write. I need help. I'm at the end of my rope...
Is there a way I can pay them, one by one. They won't even communicate with me now.
Any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

You need to go to your bank today and either close your checking
You need to go to your bank today and either close your checking account of have them freeze it. Then you can deal with these companies on your own terms. Once you do that you will start receiving nasty threatening phone calls that you must put a stop to by sending them all certified cease and desist letters. They may or may not stop. I know this sounds drastic but you will never get your life under control until you do that. You can get their addresses off of the BBB website. You still will have at least a moral obligation to pay them back but at least you can try to make arrangments with them.
