They did try to tell me that I was passing bad checks by doing this...is this real or is this just a threat...I need some thought on closed accounts and passing bad checks!

This was an internet PDL, but ohio has this statute where if the account is closed and the ACH bounces it could be considered a bounced check...if that is true or not!

In OH you won't be charged. They have to prove intent to defraud, which means you took out the loan or several in a day or within a few days of eachother and then turned around and closed the account. And the prosecutor isn't going to allow an unlicensed pdl to file charges for something that isn't a crime. In OH pdls are considered unsecured debt. Please do not listen to their false threat of charging you with passing bad checks, that is laughable. If it makes you feel better, contact the Department of Financial Institutions and they will tell you the same thing. You are going to be fine. Relax. NO JAIL FOR YOU!

They are going to tell you anything--and if this doesn't work, they will tell you that 25 people will be on your doorstep to arrest you. It's all lies and stay strong...
