I'm so sorry I did see the law--I think I was not clear with me question, but I'm wondering specially about USA payday loan and PayDay Select. These are internet PDLS and I see every chatting about sometimes they are not "legal in some states" So I guess since they allow "rollovers" they are not legal in Ohio. So does that mean I don't have to keep paying them? Thanks

Ohio does NOT permit rollovers, but only on check cashers. I do not think that internet PDLs are permitted in your state. We do reccommend paying back what was borrowed. But pay it back in a manner that you can afford.I dont know how much you have already paid on your loans.

Internet pdl's ARE legal in Ohio. The law does not just apply to check cashers. Ohio licenses out of state lenders as well as in state check cashers.
Payday Select is the same company as Payday Ok and Payday One.
Goudah, Can you explain why it does not apply only to check cash
Goudah, Can you explain why it does not apply only to check cashers. Did I read something wrong? As usual I am confused.

The laws posted on Paydayloaninfo.org are just a summary. They are not the whole story. It's a starting place, but by no means the whole answer.
Ohio's law is just old, and that is what they called the businesses. But the businesses are not required to cash checks in order to give loans, and they aren't required to have a physical location in Ohio. I can't fully explain it without researching it a lot more, but I can tell you that most storefronts in Ohio don't cash checks, and that Ohio absolutly will license an out of state, internet based payday loan company.
