How do I get allied interstate to quit calling? I have paid off the agreed upon settlement with them 2 months ago and they still keep calling 3-5 times a day from different numbers never leaving a message. I spoke to someone last week and she said the account had be paid and did not know why I was being called. Also how do I get them to send me a letter stating that this matter was taken care of? They have my checking account information can they still draw from this? Should I close my account? After researching this company on the web I'm really nervous.

Hi Toni

I will suggest you to be cautious while dealing with Allied Interstate. They have a bad reputation in the market and have been involved in many illegal activities.

To fight against all the harassment calls, please record all the telephonic conversations and inform the caller that you wish to present it to your lawyer. Keep a record of all the dates and times when the calls are made.

Send a letter to the company explaining the situation and request to stop all the collection calls. If they call you after receiving your cease and desist letter, it will turn out to be a violation of the fdcpa law and you can take legal actions against them.

Make sure that you send your letter through certified mail with return receipt requested. This will help you to track the date when they received your letter for legal proof.

Follow the moves and if you face any problems in between, please let us know.

Roxette
