These guys are some of the nastiest collectors on the block. If they aren't calling you, consider yourself lucky and let a sleeping dog lie. When I closed my bank account they were calling me 4 times a day for weeks.

I wouldn't worry about contacting them, they are illegal and there is no way to reason with them.

Again with the sweeping assertions of who is "legal" and who is "illegal." If they are "illegal" why did the California courts rule in their favor when the Department of Corporations went after them? Why was the Colorado AG begging his own state's supreme court for the right to send them a subpoena just this past January? For that matter why have only three states (West Virginia is the third) taken any serious action against them when they lend in all fifty?
Forget this "illegal" stuff, since no one here has the pockets to sue them and they aren't going to sue anyone either. It's irrelevant. No one is "illegal" till someone with the authority to do so holds them accountable so why waste time playing amateur attorney. Take a practical approach instead. Just avoid their calls. You'll be amazed how quickly they take your number out of their dialer when they can't reach you. Meanwhile, close your bank account and open a new one at a new bank. That will protect you from sneak attacks. And for goodness sake, never apply for another payday loan because that's how they'll get your new bank information.

Excuse me, they are an unlicensed lender, and that doesn't give the lender a legal leg to stand on.
