As most of you have noticed, we have been receiving a HUGE number of spam messages lately. This happens from time to time, and is one of the hazards of having a message board site as we have.

UPDATE....per our site Admin, Mike, Mods CAN delete entire threads without the members losing any points for posts made to that thread.

Please do not respond to these posts - some of them are "job offers" (bogus) or simply empty posts, or have gibberish in them. Responding to them serves no purpose, as the "poster" is usually a bot - not even a real person.

(this is being posted on a couple of different threads where the SPAM posts are most prevalent)

Not a problem at all Roxy & volleyballmom! I just wanted members to know what was happening with the recent rash of SPAM posts - and it makes it a lot easier to control if we don't have to worry about leaving a member's post behind to avoid stripping them of their points. If we can just delete the offending post, it makes the forums a lot cleaner.

Thanks for bringing this to attention SueBee!! I spent hours cleaning up after someone who kept insisting on advertising some consolidation company!

Also, if you see messages, or spam, look under the Pub topics, there is a thread called "Report Spam", this way mods can see that they are deleted promptly, insead of waiting for us to read through all the posts.

I have deleted alot of guest posts waiting to be approve because they were either jibberish, job offers or advertising!..KAren
